Hutto is recognized as the Hippo Capital of Texas as recognized by the state lawmakers. This is the only city in the United States with the hippo as its mascot. In 1923, the hippo first appeared on official Hutto High School graduation announcements. According to the local legend, a circus train stopped in Hutto in 1915, where circus train workers were taking care of the circus animals during the stop. During this layover, the hippo got out of a railcar and caused commotion to locals, sending telegraph in nearby cities - "STOP TRAINS, HIPPO LOOSE IN HUTTO". Reference: hipponation.org

Want your own design printed in our tote bags?

We can print custom designs provided by you on our tote bags. Maximum design size must fit a letter size paper (portrait), which is 8.5 inches in width by 11 inches in height. It is best to send high quality photos for best results. Expected file formats are PNG, JPEG or PDF. Preferred format is a PNG file. You may email your order request to support@rumeistore.com by indicating the number of tote bags needed, delivery address and attach the custom design file. After reviewing the design, including but not limited to size, resolution, and texts, we will confirm that the design is viable for printing on our tote bags. Printing will commence only when the design review and payment have been completed. Feel free to email us if you have any questions. Washing The Tote Bag

  • Don't soak to wash. Don't use bleach or alkaline detergent.
  • Turn the tote bag inside out when washing.
  • Select full spin cycle and cold water washing.
  • Washing time should be less than 40 minutes.
  • No delicate washing. No tumble dry.
  • Remove the tote bag promptly after washing.
  • Unfold the tote bag and hang to dry naturally.
